Hi!

My name is Hannah. I am mother to five sweet wild ones and wife to my very best friend. We currently rent a small home at the foot of the gorgeous Wasatch mountains and dream of owning acres and acres of land…somewhere. He wants goats and rabbits, I want a milk cow and ducks. The kids want it all, but their top request for our future home is good climbing trees. The ones we have now are subpar. In the meantime, he continues to work in several capacities in the web development world while I keep our home and homeschool our children. Oh, and I write. Occasionally. We have big dreams but ultimately, we are so blessed with everything we have right here, right now and are making a conscious effort to live with gratitude.

I don’t consider myself particularly wise or clever, but over the years lots of people have said things like “you have such a way with words” or “what you wrote really reached me where I am.” So, here I am! I have no credentials except for having lived on this planet as a human being. I’ve had schooling, but no degree. I wanted to learn it all, so choosing something to major in was difficult. And ultimately, I found I had better things to do and more effective (for me) ways of learning, and I left school to pursue those things. So, just be aware that I’m not actually an authority on much of anything, I’m just here to share what life looks like from where I’m sitting. Or kneeling. Or running. Depends on what the kids are up to at the moment!

I love, love, love being a stay-at-home mom to my four sons and my daughter and have to fend off my husband for the position. He’d love to be with the kids full time, too, but he works (from home, thankfully) so that I can have that job. Coming full circle here, that’s where the farm life comes in. We want to work together and with our children, and that sounds like a great way to do it.

A few other things that interest me and/or that keep me busy are gardening, chicken-keeping (we have twelve), sourdough bread making, and beekeeping. These are the things you’ll likely be hearing from me about, as well as parenting and homeschooling, and the occasional faith-based thoughts. I love Jesus and Heavenly Father and Mother and sometimes I gotta share it. On Fridays, I’ll share some of my fiction writing.

I’m glad you’re here. I hope what I have to offer will uplift you. I’m so grateful for any time you choose to spend with me. God bless,

Hannah
